Mars Habitat X

Idea projektu

Mars Habitat X is a conceptual residential module designed for long-term human habitation on Mars, 50 years after the first manned landing. The habitat is organically shaped to promote psychological well-being and comfort, and it surrounds a central open greenhouse – the heart of the entire structure. The greenhouse is both symbolic and functional: a space for food production, light, relaxation, and connection to nature, protected by a honeycomb-inspired transparent structure made of radiation-resistant materials.

Popis projektu

The entire form is designed to be 3D-printed from Martian regolith using robotic construction, minimizing transportation from Earth. The living spaces are interconnected, modular, and integrated with renewable energy systems located externally. The architecture aims to balance advanced engineering with emotional sustainability, creating a livable, breathable, and human-centered future on Mars.

Technické informace

This residential building for 4 inhabitants, approximately 20x20 meters in size, is designed as a functional, stylish, and sustainable concept for the near future of Mars colonization, combining comfort in extreme conditions with a natural environment and an emphasis on the well-being of its inhabitants. The open central space with vegetation ensures contact with nature, while the technical facilities and the system for water recycling and energy production ensure the entire structure's self-sufficiency. The design presents a vision of real life on Mars - not as sci-fi, but as a step forward in our thinking about future living spaces beyond Earth.
