The project responds to the requirements for a pavilion for tropical animals from South America. It is designed as a single-story building with an intermediate floor and an elevated observation deck. The building symbolizes a cave shelter, where the visitor enters a smaller space and gradually reaches an elevated space.
The pavilion is designed as a steel structure based on a reinforced concrete slab. The structure is supported by 360 steel HEB columns, on which trusses made of steel profiles are placed. The facade is made of sandwich panels and a lightweight external cladding. The interior is considered as a reinforced concrete wall system also based on a reinforced concrete slab. The floors are designed from cast concrete, a combination of concrete and wood decor is used for the walls, the ceilings are made of glazing or wooden slats.
