Design of a building suitable for express custom electronics manufacturing and administrative spaces for the company Safiral s.r.o. The proposal must fully comply with the operational requirements of production and match the capacity defined by the investor. The building must be designed in accordance with current regulatory and technical standards while respecting the parameters of the given site. The architectural solution must take into account the potential future expansion of the building in case of increased production capacity.
Popis projektu
The architectural form responds to the gently sloping terrain with a terraced composition of volumes, supporting logical zoning and enhancing the aesthetic dynamics of the building. The main architectural feature is the translucent polycarbonate facade, which ensures pleasant diffused natural light in the interior and provides privacy and calm for work. Externally, the facade serves a dual purpose - During the day, it appears as a simple, minimalist volume accentuated by clean light surfaces and modern materials and at night, it glows like a lantern, revealing the steel structural frame behind the panels — evoking the industrial nature of the building. SAFIRAL Letovice thus becomes a distinctive yet refined landmark within its local context. The design also responds to the surrounding natural environment, not only through the extensive green roof of the first above-ground floor, but also via four atriums that support proper interior daylighting (providing natural light, reducing the need for artificial lighting, and improving the building’s energy balance) as well as an internal garden with mature greenery that helps maintain a pleasant microclimate for users. A designated area on the roof of the production section is reserved for the installation of solar panels, reflecting the investor’s requirements and contributing to the building’s energy self-sufficiency. The first and second above-ground floors, located near the access road, are designed as administrative and representative spaces of the building. These areas are vertically connected by a staircase and an elevator to the first underground floor, which houses the main production facilities.
Technické informace
The load-bearing structure of the building consists of a steel frame system made of bolted elements. The floor structures are composed of steel girders and prestressed concrete floor slabs (Spiroll panels), ensuring a lightweight construction and fast, dry assembly. The predominant materials used in the interior include polycarbonate, steel, exposed concrete, and glass.
