Idea projektu

The main idea of the reconstruction design is to achieve attractive and modern architecture so that it fits into the surroundings and does not stand out too much. The front facade of the building is dominated by an entrance porch lined with dark stone with a dark staircase. In contrast to this element is a less striking white-brown facade, which creates the impression of strip windows. The ramp is also a dominant element, which I tried to put in the background and set behind concrete walls that gradually increase in height and are complemented by greenery. I connected the wall to the structure of the bicycle shelter and it thus appears as a single unit. The color does not appear striking also because I chose the facade of the part where the multifunctional hall is located in a similar color shade. However, the facade is interesting in its structure. It is therefore a more striking element of the design. As for the already mentioned front space, I tried to create a small square in front of both buildings, so the entrance appears more grandiose. I chose light paving for the main pedestrian paths, and gravel for the less important ones, which will pleasantly cozy up the outdoor space in front of the building. Another part of the design was the terrace on the second floor. Part of it is designed directly next to the Pipi grill restaurant, which is located on the first floor, and in the season it is possible to seat visitors outside under umbrellas. These two floors are connected by a newly designed staircase and a pleasant atrium. The second half of the terrace is for the public and the dominant element is a glass raised attic, which allows a beautiful view of the city. There are several concrete benches and a large amount of greenery. The interior is designed primarily with functional use and lighting of the space, where work with light tones of materials is visible. The designed entrance hall with a staircase on the first floor carries elements of nature and relaxation and creates a calm and pleasant atmosphere. The space is more airy compared to the current state. The core of the whole design lies in the multifunctional hall, where I tried to adapt the space to as many functions as possible. The interior design of the room itself is therefore simple and elegant. The addition of furniture then makes the space look representative. The structural change is therefore an emergency exit from the hall directly to the open space via a newly designed staircase.

Popis projektu

Since this is a reconstruction of an already functioning building, there were not many layout changes. The entrance hall was expanded and the cloakroom moved to the current doorman's area. The room between the vestibule and the hall is dedicated to the doorman in the design. After entering the hall, on the right side is the entrance to the hall, followed by two separate areas for lounging and relaxing. In the case of events, a small bar can also be located here. The door to the toilets follows on the right side, which are separated from the rest of the hall by a decorative dividing wall, which is defined as an architectural detail in the design. Along the axis of the entrance door are the doors to the staircase area. "Invisible doors" were created at the staircase branch to the basement, which were a measure for the homeless. Only employees from and to the garage can pass through here. There is a navigation board on the aforementioned door. The mosaic is left on the left side of the hall. Another striking and very pleasant element is the green wall, into which information televisions are embedded. This is also where the entrance to the restaurant and then to the offices is located. The layout of the hall remained almost the same. In the design, I only changed the use of the stairs to the stage and left more space behind the stage for the performers, creating a small backstage area. I also hid the radiators under the stairs, which I designed around the perimeter of the entire room, to accommodate many spectators during various events.

Technické informace

The designed object is made of panel elements. However, the structural modifications are minimal, the biggest intervention is the demolition of part of the parapet in the multifunctional hall for the emergency exit, where a reinforced concrete staircase is designed. A staircase with the same structure is designed in the atrium from the first floor to the terrace. In the exterior, large-format concrete paving slabs in white-gray and dark brown are used for walking areas, light brown crushed stone for secondary walkways and wood-plastic for the terrace. The portal is clad in dark brown stone. The new envelope of the hall is made of brown-beige acoustic panels. The other exterior walls are covered with white and brown exterior silicone plaster. Exposed concrete - both rough and smooth - is used for the construction of the benches, ramp and shelter. There is also an oak board on the benches for outdoor seating in the park for more comfortable relaxation. Other parts will be grassed, including planted greenery. The fillings of the openings will be in an anthracite shade, the windows will be equipped with triple glazing. Solar panels will be placed on the roof area above the hall and on the highest level of the entire building. The interior uses ceramic tiles and oak flooring. The walls are covered with white interior plaster or oak wood paneling. Part of the hall is covered with gray acoustic panels and the ceilings are equipped with white slats, which also perform an acoustic function. The existing mosaic is left in the interior, but the green wall in the entrance hall is removed. The furniture is mainly made of steel structures in anthracite or gray-green.
