This project thoughtfully addresses urban integration, connectivity, and noise mitigation around Horní Měcholupy railway station, effectively transforming the site into a vibrant public node. The strategic placement of the office building and polyclinic not only enhances urban density but naturally resolves existing acoustic issues. The incorporation of accessible pedestrian pathways and a barrier-free overpass significantly improves circulation and user experience. Architectural clarity is evident in the logical organization and structural design, highlighted by monolithic reinforced concrete combined with expressive steel truss bridge elements. However, additional detailing regarding landscaping and street-level interactions could further enhance pedestrian comfort and urban vibrancy. Overall, the project successfully creates an inviting, integrated, and functional urban space that positively contributes to the locality’s identity.
Dear Dr. Tamer ElSerafi,
Thank you very much for your thoughtful and generous evaluation of my project. I truly appreciate your insightful feedback, especially your recognition of the project's urban integration, architectural clarity, and structural design approach. Your comments not only motivate me but also provide valuable guidance for my continued development as an architect. I am particularly grateful for your constructive suggestions regarding landscaping and pedestrian-level interaction, which I will certainly take into consideration in future work.
It was an honor to receive your perspective, and I deeply value your expertise.
Warm regards,
Bc. Michal Kocan
