Dear Fabian Rass,
Thank you for enriching the platform of Inspireli with such a mature and attentive project.
Firstly, would like to applaud the intention and the idea of the project. Building in existing constructions already indicates a sustainable approach toward the built.
THE IDEA of the project to enhance one existing structure in many levels demonstrates an extremely efficient approach towards the space and the sources.
Sustainable aspects: The environmental sustainability is extensively addressed in the proposal also supported with technical data. The new structures are naturally very well aligned through materiality and modularity with the context and existing structure. These new modulated structures despite the flexible reconfiguration, target one very important aspect which regards the interactive spaces and so the socially sustainable areas. Would be interesting to dedicate an equal importance to this aspect through different scenarios on the roofscape level testing new proposed flexible and adaptable spaces with existing ones below and the typology of the user. These scenarios would document how in different configurations of the modulated volumes/spaces, the spatial composition would assist to the overall improvement in terms of spatial enhancement, movability, social interaction and the functional adaptability, since the environmental aspect is elaborated quite extensively. This would balance the focus in all aspects of the building.
As regards to the design graphical presentation, the provided drawings communicate clearly the idea. However, would like to see a more inclusive representation in correspondence with the existing building as well.
Overall, the project demonstrates a very promising inclusion of the urgencies and emergencies of our discipline while considers the unpredictable future potential changes.
Best!
