Idea projektu
The interior design project is proposed within the building of the Faculty of Business Management at the University of Economics in Bratislava. The current spaces of the respire (common area) are cramped and not particularly attractive in terms of design. The dean's office has also expressed the need for a renovation of the rooms and the corridor.
Popis projektu
In the design, I used materials such as veneered MDF boards, cast flooring, anthracite-colored aluminum, and stainless steel. Wood, as a sustainable material, also brightens up the interior. Curved MDF board is a timeless choice for design purposes. The color scheme was chosen to appear both representative and cozy. Gray and beige form a neutral base that helps brighten the space.
Technické informácie
Using amoeba-shaped wooden structures, I created both relaxation and working zones in the respire. Their design takes into account the column construction present in the area. This design achieves a creative look for the respire. Each amoeba stands on a stainless steel base. They include recessed spaces for storing seat cushions, indoor plants, and electrical sockets. There is also a service counter. On the right side of the vertical core, there is a wooden unit comprising 60 cabinets. The proposed layout for the dean's office includes a waiting area, two meeting rooms, a refreshment preparation room, the secretary’s office, the dean's office, a staff room, and a copy corner. I designed the lighting as a combination of linear and spot lighting. The lighting is complemented by suspended LED installations in the areas with the amoeba structures. Around the columns, square spotlights are proposed to increase lighting intensity during cleaning and maintenance. The lighting in the respire continues into the dean’s office.
