Idea projektu

Slovak: Predložený projekt predstavuje návrh komorného spa a wellness centra v Šali, situovaného na mieste bývalého mestského zberného dvora. Hlavnou ideou návrhu je transformácia brownfieldu na miesto uzdravenia, odpočinku a opätovného prepojenia s prírodou. Koncept vychádza z historickej pamäti územia – najmä zo stopy niekdajšieho riečneho ramena Váhu a industriálnej minulosti lokality – a súčasne navrhuje novú architektonickú identitu založenú na ekologickom a zmyslovom prístupe. Projekt pracuje s pôvodnou pôdorysnou stopou zberného dvora a zachováva niekoľko priemyselných prvkov, ako sú dva komíny a betónové silo, ktoré sú reinterpretované ako priestorové pamäťové dominanty. Centrálnym prvkom návrhu je skleník s oblukovou strechou, ktorý funguje ako prechod medzi stavbou a okolitým zeleným pásom. Prevádzka je funkčne rozdelená na západnú časť s technickým zázemím a bazénom, centrálnu relaxačnú zónu so zeleňou a východnú časť s kaviarňou a ubytovaním. Cieľom návrhu je vytvoriť intímne, inkluzívne a environmentálne zodpovedné wellness centrum, ktoré revitalizuje zanedbané miesto, obohacuje miestnu urbanistickú štruktúru a znova prepája komunitu s prírodným a kultúrnym kontextom územia. English: The submitted project is a proposal for a small-scale spa and wellness center located in Šaľa, Slovakia, on the site of a former municipal waste yard. The main idea behind the design is the transformation of a brownfield site into a place of healing, rest, and reconnection with nature. The concept draws from the historical memory of the area – specifically, the presence of a former branch of the Váh River and the industrial legacy of the site – while proposing a new architectural identity rooted in ecology, sustainability, and sensory experience. The project works with the original footprint of the collection yard and preserves several industrial elements, such as two chimneys and a concrete silo, reinterpreting them as spatial anchors of memory. The central element of the new design is a greenhouse with a curved glass roof, acting as a transitional space between the built structure and the surrounding green zone. The program is functionally divided into a western zone with technical facilities and a pool, a central relaxation space with indoor greenery, and an eastern part with a café and accommodation. The objective of the project is to create an intimate, inclusive, and environmentally conscious wellness facility that revitalizes a neglected site, enhances the local urban fabric, and reconnects the community with the natural and cultural history of the place.

Slovak: Rozsah riešenia projektu Projekt sa zaoberá architektonickým návrhom komorného spa a wellness centra, ktoré je situované na území bývalého mestského zberného dvora v meste Šaľa. Rozsah riešenia zahŕňa nielen transformáciu brownfieldu na plnohodnotnú občiansku vybavenosť, ale aj jeho citlivé začlenenie do prírodného a urbanistického kontextu územia. Návrh zahŕňa: – koncepčné a dispozičné usporiadanie wellness centra, – architektonické riešenie nových objektov s rešpektovaním industriálnej histórie miesta, – zachovanie a novú interpretáciu existujúcich prvkov (komíny a silo), – začlenenie skleníka s oblukovou strechou ako centrálneho biotického a relaxačného priestoru, – návrh bazénovej a saunovej zóny, kaviarne, ubytovacej časti a technického zázemia, – vytvorenie exteriérových wellness zón vrátane jazierka, zeleného pásu a chodníkov, – prepojenie s územným plánom mesta a ekologickou infraštruktúrou (plánovaný zelený pás a budúci obchvat). Riešenie odráža komplexný prístup, ktorý prepája architektúru, ekologickú zodpovednosť a komunitnú obnovu. English: Scope of the Project Solution The project addresses the architectural design of a small-scale spa and wellness center located on a former municipal waste yard in the town of Šaľa, Slovakia. The scope of the solution covers not only the transformation of a brownfield site into a functioning civic amenity, but also its sensitive integration into the surrounding natural and urban environment. The proposal includes: – the conceptual and spatial organization of the wellness facility, – architectural design of new buildings while respecting the industrial heritage of the site, – preservation and reinterpretation of existing structures (chimneys and silo), – incorporation of a greenhouse with a curved glass roof as a central relaxation and biophilic element, – design of a thermal and sauna zone, café, guest accommodation, and technical background, – creation of outdoor wellness areas including a pond, green corridors, and pathways, – integration with the town's zoning plan and ecological infrastructure (planned green belt and future urban bypass). The solution reflects a holistic approach combining architectural design, ecological sensitivity, and community regeneration.

Technické informácie

Slovak: Architektonický návrh využíva kombináciu industriálneho a minimalistického štýlu, pričom kladie dôraz na funkčnosť, čisté línie a materiálovú úprimnosť. Primárny nosný systém tvorí železobetónová konštrukcia, ktorá zahŕňa nosné steny a stĺpy. Hlavná budova je navrhnutá z pohľadového betónu, ktorý podčiarkuje surový charakter materiálu a prispieva k industriálnemu výrazu objektu. Vo východnej časti, kde sa nachádza ubytovanie, je stavba realizovaná zo železobetónu. Fasáda tejto sekcie je obložená bielymi pohľadovými tehličkami, ktoré vytvárajú jemný vizuálny kontrast k betónu a zároveň dopĺňajú minimalistickú estetiku. Skleník je riešený ako samostatná oceľová konštrukcia. Ľahký oceľový rám umožňuje maximálnu transparentnosť a flexibilitu využitia, čím podporuje zamýšľané funkcie a prirodzené prepojenie s okolím. Projekt cielene spája konštrukčnú jednoduchosť s vizuálnou čistotou, pričom využíva materiály, ktoré sú odolné, úsporné a architektonicky výrazné v rámci industriálno-minimalistického konceptu. English: The architectural design is based on a combination of industrial and minimalist styles, emphasizing functionality, clean lines, and material honesty. The primary structural system consists of reinforced concrete, including both load-bearing walls and columns. The main building is constructed from exposed concrete, highlighting the raw character of the material and reinforcing the industrial expression of the structure. In the eastern part of the building, which houses the accommodation units, reinforced concrete is used to define both structure and space. The facade of this section is clad with white facing bricks, creating a soft visual contrast to the concrete and complementing the minimalist aesthetic. The greenhouse is designed as a separate steel structure. The lightweight steel frame provides maximum transparency and flexibility, supporting its functional purpose and creating a natural connection to the surrounding environment. The project intentionally combines structural simplicity with visual clarity, using durable, efficient materials that reflect the architectural language of an industrial-minimalist concept.
