BYTOVÝ DOM SARATOVSKÁ

Idea projektu

The land for which the house is designed is located in the heart of Dubravka on Saratovskaya Street in Bratislava. My goal was to design an apartment building that would support the community life of not only the residents of the house, but also its visitors. The plot is in an ideal location for the construction of an apartment building — within walking distance there is a school, several large grocery stores, a bus and tram stop, a park with various sports grounds, gaming grounds and a house of culture.

Popis projektu

The apartment building is untraditionally designed with a pavilion in the middle, thus dividing the mass into three visually separate parts connected by a communication space. The long block, which runs from East to West, has three floors, the remaining two blocks have five floors. In all three blocks there is a glazed ground floor on the ground floor, where there is space for storing bicycles or strollers. There are also various services such as a bakery, a cafe, a florist and a small showroom. On the upper floors there are housing units with different layouts-from 1-room to 4-room apartments. All of them are connected by the already mentioned Pavilion, which I wanted to create a large and open community space full of light, fresh air and greenery, where neighbors can spend time together. On the roof of a long block there is a communal kitchen, designed for community activities and meetings. From the back there is a ramp to 1. underground floor, where there are 25 parking spaces (of which 3 for disabled). Dungeons with abundant storage space are located equally on the underground floor. Waste management is handled in the western part of the plot.

Technické informácie

The load-bearing walls of the apartment building are designed from brick masonry with insulation, which ensures high-quality thermal insulation properties and a natural climate in the interior. Pavilions that connect individual housing units are designed as reinforced concrete structures. Their handrails are made of Dark Metal, thereby visually complementing the expressive character of the object. A distinctive element of the external facade are rounded balconies with dark metal railings and a roof, harmoniously merging with the rough shapes of brick blocks. The overall architectural expression of the object is a combination of robustness, practicality and fine details that support not only the functionality, but also the aesthetics of the proposed housing.
