HEARTH HOUSE

Idea projektu

The name-Hearth House (fireplace, fireplace) is associated with the main part of any family home - the living room. * Hearth * is a source of heat and light, but in a figurative sense it is a place where you are always expected, where you are always welcome and where you want to return. My goal was to create this feeling of warmth, light and coziness so that it was felt by every inhabitant of the House.

Based on the idea of the house and the location of the plot, I decided to use the L form as a basis. This shape of the house can capture as much sunlight as possible. Then, in the very center of the house – in its heart – a living room was created with large panoramic windows that intersect over two floors to spread the sun and heat throughout the House. So the living room, like the heart of the house, like The Hearth House, gives light and warmth to the whole house. The house is vertically divided into two parts – Day and night. The daily portion is located at 1. NP and is oriented to the south-western and south-eastern sides. Following the suspended staircase from the living room, we get to the night part of the House. The night part is oriented mostly to the south-west side.

Design solution The outer walls are reinforced concrete with a thickness of 300 mm, with insulation of 100 mm. Design height 1. NP is 3050 mm, in the living room 3550 mm, 2. NP is an attic and has a height of 2000 mm. Ground clearance 1. NP is 2700 mm, in the living room 3200 mm, 2. NP in the attic 2700 mm. Material solution * Facade plaster White * Exterior walls made of trapezoidal sheet * Metal roofing * Wooden elements made of ash birch (doors and slats)
