Croatian Cultural Center in Jarovce

Idea projektu

The idea behind this project is to provide a multifunctional space for the Croatian minority living in Jarovce, a village near Bratislava. The center aims to support cultural preservation, community life, and creative activities through architecture that reflects the local context and encourages openness and interaction.

Popis projektu

The project consists of two rectangular volumes with pitched roofs that intersect to create a central entrance foyer. It includes a creative center, a café with a reading space, a multipurpose hall, and a rentable unit. The layout is divided into northern and southern wings and connects seamlessly to the exterior. Public outdoor areas, including a market pavilion and green zones, complement the indoor functions.

Technické informácie

Materials include exposed concrete, steel mesh on façades, and metal roofing for weather resistance and visual clarity. The building’s total usable area is 1011 m².
