This coffee room is part of freestanding building of Art Gallery, so the entire concept of interior was to bring the inspirational atmosphere from the main showroom to everywhere else, including this little place for relaxation. However, as most people would expect, we are not talking about gallery of modern arts here. I personally find more satisfaction in classical art rather than modern art, but I didnť want the interior to look old-fashioned. So my idea was to bring the best elements from the art that we are all familiar with and give it a modern twist with some raw materials and textures. I even included some self-made furniture that would highlight the contrast between "classical and modern".

All natural lighting comes from a corner of three large windows that go almost all the way from the ceiling to the floor. Bottom parts of frames end right above a built-in planter made from an imitation of white marble. These planters, or more precisely, the plants in them fill not only an esthetic function, but they also reduce the amount of sunlight and create more intimate feeling. In addition, I was able to use darker colors like a bottle green coat on most of the walls. To make the interior more textured floor is made from concrete coating. The centerpoint of the room is a round bar with show window and a place for payment. Then alongside the wall there is a storage place for the crockery and other. Both desks are decorated with carved pillars that imitate twisted columns from acient Rome. Three round tables, therefrom one of them is a semicircle attached to a wall, are each made of different hand sculptures and wooden desks. The chair that I used have textil covers in a blush shade of pink. Decorations are probably the most interesting part of this project. Dominant is a wall with a white brick facing that gives chipped look due to the irregular placement of the bricks. The missed spaces are filled with classical art pieces that give the illusion of the painting coming trhough the wall. This style is also used on a wall next to the bar. The lights are again combination of modern and classical. Two crystal chandeliers are hanging above the dining area, on the other hand minimalistic metal lamps of simple shape are used as a lighting above the bar.

Technické informace

Most of the materials are eather wood, concrete or imitation of stones. Coffee room is placed on the second floor of gallery building and is accessible from the hall. Small kitchen and a storage for the employees are accessible through a door behind the bar.
