Golden ratio cabin

- Subject of the project is a family cottage dedicated to recreation. Cabin is located in the woods near town Český Krumlov. Design is inspired by the golden ratio so it looks like a snail shell. - Entrance to the property can be found on it's southwest side. From here you can either enter the path leading to the house or enter the small parking lot for one or two cars. The land is located in the woods so there ar many trees around the cabin. - Main entrance to the cabin is placed on the southwest side oh the building. - Since the building is located in the forest, there are no other houses around.

Through the main door on the ground floor we enter a small vestibule, from where we can enter the bathroom. From here we also have free access to the spacious living kitchen, where, among other things, is also a staircase connecting the ground floor with the gallery on the first floor. From the gallery on the first floor we reach the master bedroom with dressing room and the second bedroom which is designed for a teenage girl.

- The building is built on foundation strips to a depth of 1000 mm. - The outer shell of the house is a reinforced concrete shell with a thickness of 250 mm. The ceiling slab is also reinforced concrete, woven into the shell and supported by the walls on the ground floor. - The floor in the vestibule is 200 mm thick and the other floors are 150 mm thick. The thickness of the underlying concrete is 200 mm. - The reinforced concrete shell serves as a perimeter wall on two sides of the building, but also as a roof of the building. - The main staircase is cantilevered and its steps are woven into the wall separating the kitchen and bathroom.
