Hello Longfei,
Your “Pine House” project is a truly thoughtful and poetic response to the challenges of building in a sensitive mountain environment. I am impressed by how you integrate architecture with the landscape, turning a functional retaining wall into a living, dynamic part of the home. The careful transition from extroverted to introverted spaces shows a deep understanding of human experience and spatial flow.
The combination of concrete and steel is both elegant and rational, clearly expressing the roles of strength and lightness. The drainage system integrated into the handrail is a particularly smart and seamless detail.
As an experienced architect, I would suggest considering the use of additional natural materials, like local stone or timber, to further enhance the dialogue with the surrounding environment and soften the structure’s appearance.
Best of luck with your education and future career your sensitivity and creativity are very promising!
