Hello Natalie,I would like to comment on your family house design. The layout is rationally designed and the functional relationships within the building work well. The issue for me is the placement of the skylights, which I don't think is practical, and the size of the terrace, which is a bit too big. The house might also be a bit too spacious for my taste, but that's obviously a matter of personal preference, the client's requirements, and the budget.
I would like to make just one comment regarding the location of the house on the plot. I am not sure what led you to decide to place the house in the middle of the plot. This location has divided the plot into several zones, creating different spaces. You have created a very generous front area of the house facing the street, two side areas of the garden, and the main area of the garden connected to the living room. I don't know if your intention was for each of these spaces to have a different character and purpose in the future, but by dividing the plot in this way, you have reduced the area that a potential resident could theoretically perceive as a whole, and this may not always be desirable.
When placing a building, it is very important to consider the plot and its connections. The layout design will affect the lives of the residents of the house, but the location of the house will also affect the neighboring plots and the perception of the street space, so it is very important to pay close attention to the material concept, orientation, and location of the building.
Have a nice day and I wish you many successfully completed designs.
