The REPALM Cultural and Energy Center is a pioneering initiative that tackles the pressing issue of improper agricultural waste management, specifically targeting the environmentally detrimental practice of burning palm waste. By implementing an advanced biomass pyrolysis process, REPALM efficiently converts palm waste into renewable energy sources. This conversion not only mitigates pollution but also contributes to sustainable energy solutions. Beyond its technological approach, REPALM places a strong emphasis on community involvement and education.

The center hosts a variety of workshops where locals learn to repurpose palm waste into useful and marketable products, including furniture and construction materials. These creations are then showcased and sold in the center's dedicated exhibition and marketplace spaces, providing a platform for local artisans and promoting entrepreneurship.
