This project offers a thoughtful and timely reinterpretation of Filipino domestic architecture in response to pandemic realities. Its integration of traditional elements from the bahay kubo with post-COVID spatial adaptations—such as mudrooms, isolation areas, and hydroponic gardens—reflects an evolving domestic typology grounded in cultural identity and health consciousness. The material and ventilation strategies show environmental awareness, and the anti-COVID spatial programming is innovative. However, while the intentions are commendable, the architectural articulation could be more refined, particularly in massing, spatial hierarchy, and visual cohesion. The project would benefit from deeper resolution of construction detailing and structural integration to support its ambitious environmental and functional goals.
