The project titled "Addo" is a truly impressive and meaningful entry that showcases a deep understanding of cultural and historical context. Your exploration of the relationship between Egypt and Sudan is both poetic and powerful, and the symbolism embedded in the project name adds emotional and intellectual depth. It’s clear that a lot of thought and research went into developing this concept, and that effort is greatly appreciated.
The plans are well presented, with a clear architectural intent. The concept is strong, and your choice of colors in the presentation is commendable—calm, reflective, and respectful of the narrative. The overall tone of the presentation carries a quiet elegance, which mirrors the story you’re telling. However, the visual calmness can slightly reduce the impact and energy of the boards. A bit more contrast or visual hierarchy could make the boards more engaging without losing their serene character.
Your perspectives are effective, and with a bit more clarity in the use of materiality—particularly making sure the materials are clearly indicated in the boards and align with the renders—the overall presentation would be much stronger.
This entry stands out not only for its technical and graphic clarity but also for its heartfelt storytelling and cultural sensitivity.
Thank you, Sara Attia and your team, for such a thoughtful and valuable contribution to the design dialogue.
