I found this project to be very well-composed and professionally executed. The revitalization of the tenement house at ul. Bałuki 13 presents a thoughtful transformation of an existing space, offering a well-balanced blend of raw industrial character and subtle refinement. The intent to dedicate the building as a complex for men is clearly reflected in the design approach, showing a strong sense of purpose and user understanding.
The programmatic organization of the spaces is clear and efficient. From the bar and VIP rooms in the basement to the barber shop and tattoo studio on the ground floor, and the private apartments on the upper level, each function is given appropriate spatial treatment. I particularly appreciated how each floor has its own distinct identity while maintaining coherence throughout the overall design.
The use of structural concrete, microcement floors, and bold industrial details like oil barrels and metal accents speaks to a strong conceptual consistency. The strategic use of accent colors—red, green, and blue—adds personality to each level and subtly breaks the neutrality of the raw finishes. These choices work together to create a calming yet confident interior atmosphere.
Kaja Krysztoforska, I was impressed by how grounded and cohesive the design felt. The lighting, materials, and layout reflect a refined eye and thoughtful execution. It’s a compelling example of adaptive reuse, and I truly appreciate the opportunity to engage with such a well-developed project.
