My studio picked this design topic (Children’s House for Kaira Looro 2022) and integrated it into our 2nd-year studio (not for competition submission). This project was designed to address child malnutrition in rural areas of Sub-Saharan Africa. The design creates a safe and welcoming environment where children can access nutritional education, healthcare, and social services. The project emphasizes sustainable construction techniques using locally available materials and is scaled to fit within a rural community setting.
