The project demonstrates a well-thought-out response to its context. The way it mirrors a key axis from the adjacent structure and seamlessly integrates with the existing urban and topographic conditions in Nişantaşı shows a strong understanding of site continuity. The layering of functions across various levels is handled well, creating an engaging relationship between public and private zones. The inspiration from the semi-open spaces of the Milli Reasürans Building adds a nostalgic yet contemporary character, successfully bridging architectural heritage with present-day needs.
The perspectives are visually strong and help to communicate the spatial quality of the design. The site development is also well presented, showing how the building interacts with its surroundings. These elements make it easier to grasp the overall massing and flow of the structure. However, including a floor plan would significantly improve the presentation. A plan would provide more clarity on how the interior spaces are organized and how they connect vertically and horizontally, especially given the complexity of the levels.
The programmatic layout is commendable. Dedicating different levels to specific functions like housing, public interaction, and creative workspaces ensures that the building operates efficiently while serving a wide range of users. The use of terraces and integration with natural sea views enhances user experience and brings a sense of openness to the vertical layout. These elements help support the project's aim to create a socially and academically vibrant environment near the ITU University.
This is a well-crafted proposal that thoughtfully responds to context, program, and form. The layering of spaces and attention to circulation and accessibility reflect strong design decisions. The visuals are effective, but the addition of floor plans and possibly some diagrams showing circulation or spatial zoning would enrich the narrative.
