This project, ROTARC, offers a fascinating approach to architecture education by framing the entire design process as an ongoing cycle, giving students the ability to shape and develop their projects in real time. The concept of a continuous flow through the "Project Circle" is innovative and reflects the dynamic, iterative nature of architectural work. The way the different stages are integrated—from Storm Hall for conceptualization to Layout Hall for final presentation—encapsulates the progressive nature of design while keeping the students actively engaged at every step.
The façade and overall architecture look very promising. The use of wood and glass on the exterior creates a warm, welcoming feel while still maintaining a modern and clean aesthetic. The materials used, along with the thoughtful design of each space, not only cater to the functional needs of students but also reflect the fluidity and flexibility of the design process. The way the Courtyard merges the project’s two main parts—working and meeting spaces—creates a natural flow, promoting collaboration and engagement. This merging area is not just functional but adds an essential social dimension to the environment.
The perspectives are well-executed, showing how each stage of the project works within its physical context. The plans and sections further detail the functional layout and provide clarity on the organization of space, highlighting the thoughtful flow of the design. The addition of the coffee kiosk and amphitheater encourages a sense of community while reinforcing the idea of collaboration throughout the design process. This well-rounded approach not only provides an inspiring space for students but also presents a fresh perspective on the evolving nature of architectural education.
Thank you, Mehmet Arda ÖZBAY, for joining the Inspireli platform and sharing your inspiring project with us! The balance of innovative design with practical function is evident, and this project is definitely a great contribution to creating dynamic learning spaces for future architects. Congratulations on a job well done!
