the bulky and asymmetrical design may lead to higher material usage and increased costs, negatively impacting sustainability. The lack of integration between indoor and outdoor spaces reduces natural ventilation and daylighting opportunities, which can increase energy consumption for heating, cooling, and lighting. Incorporating design strategies that improve connectivity with the outdoors and reduce bulk could enhance environmental performance and occupant comfort while optimizing construction efficiency.
To improve sustainability and functionality, consider redesigning the convention center to reduce its bulk and create a more harmonious flow between indoor and outdoor spaces. Incorporate features such as large windows, open corridors, or transitional zones that enhance natural ventilation and daylight penetration. Evaluate the steel structure for material optimization to minimize waste and cost without compromising strength. Additionally, integrate sustainable building practices and energy-efficient systems to lower the environmental impact and operational expenses.
