While steel offers strong structural benefits, the building’s bulky design takes up excessive site space and limits landscape integration. It also has too few openings, reducing natural ventilation and daylight, which lowers occupant comfort and increases energy use. Incorporating more open spaces and larger windows or louvers would improve airflow, lighting, and the indoor-outdoor connection.

Increase the number and size of openings such as windows and operable louvers to enhance natural ventilation and daylight. Integrate landscaping and open spaces within and around the building to improve the indoor-outdoor connection and site utilization. Review the building’s massing to reduce bulkiness and optimize spatial efficiency.
