My project envisions an elementary school designed for the children of tea garden workers in Sreemangal, Sylhet — a region known for its tea estates and marginalized communities. The school aims to provide a safe, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment that blends local culture, climate-responsive design, and sustainable materials.

This project proposes an elementary school that addresses the educational and social needs of children from tea worker families in Sreemangal, Sylhet — a region rich in natural beauty but home to underserved communities. The design integrates climate-responsive architecture, using locally sourced materials like bamboo, brick, and timber to create a low-cost, sustainable solution. The layout features naturally ventilated classrooms, open courtyards, and shaded verandas that encourage outdoor learning and community interaction. The school serves not only as a place for formal education but also as a community hub where families can gather, share, and celebrate their cultural heritage. The project aspires to uplift the tea garden community through architecture that is functional, inclusive, and respectful of its natural and social context.
