The project shows a careful respect for historical architecture, but the choice to recreate traditional cornices and rely on conventional thermal insulation methods seems to limit its engagement with modern architectural innovation. This approach may suggest a cautious attitude towards new technologies and a missed opportunity to explore how contemporary design and advanced materials could coexist with, and even enhance, the historic fabric. Embracing more innovative solutions could strengthen the project by demonstrating a deeper dialogue between heritage and the evolving language of architecture today.
To improve the project, consider exploring more innovative architectural and technological solutions that go beyond traditional restoration techniques. Instead of replicating historic cornices and using conventional thermal insulation, investigate advanced materials and modern design approaches that enhance energy performance and aesthetic expression while respecting the building’s heritage. This would create a stronger balance between preservation and contemporary architectural evolution.
