Any participant in the INSPIRELI AWARDS competition can ask a member of the international jury for feedback on his/her competition project. Jurors are assigned across continents at a ratio of one juror per student. The resulting gallery is a unique architecture textbook, created free of charge by those who wish to participate in our project and contribute their work to the education of the up and coming generation. Base on the limited writing on the Project Idea, I don’t really see a clear design intention, besides just providing solution to existing issues. Without clear design intention, it is hard to rationalize the design solution she come up with in her proposal. No technical explanations also on how the hanging balconies to be utilize and plants to grow around it. The project had a strong concept/idea – entering the mountain (from shadows to light); bringing elements of the past at the beginning of its inception. The idea to ‘frame the view’ of the dam is commendable. However, I feel that the designer fails to consider the beauty of the existing site with the slope and nature surrounding it.
