Waterway projects feedbacks

he project is well-organized and functional, but it lacks a distinctive spirit and sense of place. It feels generic and could be realized in almost any location, which diminishes its potential impact. A strong landscape, urban, or architectural design must arise specifically from its site — it should respond uniquely to the local context, history, culture, and environment, growing organically out of those conditions. This rootedness is what makes a project truly memorable and meaningful, and it…

The project is very interesting and excellently presented, successfully revitalizing and giving new life to a place of grat historical and urban significance like Tainan Railway Station. The approach, which combines respect for the historical heritage with the needs a modern and sustainable infrastructure, shows great sensitivity and design skill. In particular, the idea of integrating past and future through spatial and material strategies is very effective and promises to restore the city's…

Your project is grounded in strong values and a meaningful social mission. You’ve clearly understood the role architecture can play in post-war healing and community resilience. That said, there’s real potential to push your design further, especially in terms of innovation and integration with the urban context. Currently, the building feels somewhat static, with many materials—brick, glass, steel, wood—competing rather than complementing one another. Try to refine the material palette to…

The design is visually appealing and stands out with its strong form and massing. It reflects a good understanding of the site and how to present the project clearly. The building volumes are well-organized with a smooth and consistent flow. However, the depth of some spaces might make natural lighting and ventilation more difficult. The arrangement of the masses around natural features is well done, but the connection with surrounding roads and how people enter the site needs to be more…

A wonderful project! It is especially impressive to see the design solution in a time slice, the assumption of further transformation of the center into a hotel is elegant and rational.

This project really caught my attention with how well it balances massing, function, and urban integration. The stepped blocks aren’t just a visual move—they open up the site, create breathing space, and smartly guide pedestrian flow. It’s clear that the site strategy was well thought out, especially the way the buildings respond to the terrain and surrounding context. What I really like: Site Planning: The site plan works. Circulation is clear, the hierarchy of spaces makes sense, and there’s…

The project has a bright identity and memorable images. The aura of the place evokes matter from complex associations, emphasized in the materials used, their color and texture solutions. Of particular interest are the thin threads with teardrop-shaped metal and glass pendants that hang from the walls and internal support structures of the tower. The rooms of the pilgrim hostel send us on a journey of time, as if they return us to the past, supplemented by the modern comfort of the present.

I truly appreciate the concept; however, the final poster presentation and the development of technical details require further refinement and improvement to reach a more complete and professional level.
