Work description
The task will be laboratory work in the research group of Prof. Gunther Springholz at the Institute of Semiconductor and Solid State Physics of the University of Linz (see: www.jku.at/hfp/) with the research focus on epitaxial growth and characterization of novel materials (semiconductors, topological materials, magnetic and ferroelectric semiconductors) for future quantum technologies. The international team consists of talented Post-Docs, PhD students, MSc and BSc students. After in-depth training, the particular work task will be to perform epitaxial growth and characterization with modern equipment, including molecular beam epitaxy systems, atomic force and scanning electron microscopy, x-ray diffraction and electrical measurements. Additional work will be performed in the state-of-the-art clean room facility of the Institute and we offer to participate in advanced experiments at large scale European Synchrotrons. The candidates are expected to show a great dedication and enthusiasm for scientific research and strong interaction with the team members and international collaborators.
