Work description

The student will be associated with the research on the production of bio-oil from the co-pyrolysis of eucalyptus sawdust and High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE). It will carry out a literature review regarding the co-pyrolysis of biomass and plastic. The student will follow the execution of the experimental tests of the co-pyrolysis of eucalyptus sawdust and HDPE. It will also participate in the physical and chemical characterization of the bio-oil to assess its quality using different techniques. It will attend the weekly meetings on the discussion of results with the scientific initiation students involved in the project and will make a short presentation of the activities carried out every 15 days.
