Work description

The Artificial Intelligence in Medical Imaging (AIMI) laboratory is part of the ARTORG Center for Biomedical Engineering Research at the University of Bern. We conduct research towards medical technology that translates into the the hospital environment, in the domain of diagnosis and interventions. The AIMI lab offers a creative and international environment to conduct exciting and competitive research with an interdisciplinary team. Strongly linked to the Bern University Hospital (Inselspital) and part of the new Center for AI in Medicine, the AIMI lab strives to provide a coherent and holistic view of how AI in healthcare can benefit patients by designing and developing fundamental and translation research.We seek enthusiastic candidates with excellent technical skills to join our research group. Interns will be integrated into research teams that span theoretical aspects of machine learning (and deep learning) that are relevant to clinical applications, to more project specific research with direct impact into clinical routine. The intern will thus have options on what they work on, depending on a first-come-first-serve basis.Preference for longer stays, which allows you to get a better insight in our group.
