Work description
The FHNW School of Engineering and Environment supports companies and institutions in their innovation projects. Every year, around 250 new research and development projects are launched with business partners. More than 300 employees in 12 institutes generate knowledge and solutions that are made accessible for industries and markets. Our successful technology and IT research is also characterized by cooperation with national and international research partners.The Institutes of Polymer Engineering (IKT) and Polymer Nanotechnology (INKA) conduct industry focused applied R&D projects in the areas of polymer synthesis, surface structuring on the micro and nanoscale, chemical (surface) functionalization, coatings, plasma treatments and plasma coatings, and bulk modification through additives and fillers.The topic of the internship will deal with the investigation of structure property relation of new materials. The investigation includes also the chemical synthesis of capsules, nano particles, processing thereof, and further material development.Salary varies depending on study progress: Bachelor students earn 2100 CHF, Bachelor graduates 2300 CHF and Master graduates 2500 CHF.
