Work description

The ZHAW is one of the leading universities of applied sciences in Switzerland. The ongoing results are incorporated directly into the curriculum and ensure well-founded and practice-oriented courses.The Institute of Product Development and Production Technologies (IPP) researches and supplies knowledge to aid the development of sustainable solutions in product development and production technology. We are committed to transforming the economy from a linear to a circular economy and offer expertise, experience and infrastructure in circular economy design, product development, digitalisation of machines, additive manufacturing and manufacturing laboratory.You will work in product and process development. Focal points of this activity area are product innovation, development, construction, production, documentation and organisation in the product process with a holistic approach to observation. They address the product process starting from the idea, handling and transformation of 3D data and continuing through to the integrated product in the form of function models, prototypes and testing facilities. Your tasks will include:- CAD designs (Catia / 3D Experience)- Structural Optimization- Creative brainstorming - Calculations- Feasibility studies- Testing- Operation of Rapid Prototyping Machines (3D-Printers, Laser-Cutter, Plasma-Cutter, etc.)Monthly gross salary depends on study level
