Work description
The ZHAW is one of the leading universities of applied sciences in Switzerland. Their institutes and centres collaborate with business partners to implement innovative research and development projects and deliver services. The ongoing results are incorporated directly into the curriculum and ensure well-founded and practice-oriented courses. The Distributed Systems Research Group at ZHAW works on many explorative projects related to cloud computing, IoT, and operating systems. The internship takes place in the context of an exciting global trend: digital certification. Future graduates will get digital certificates that are verifiable and portable. ZHAW has built a platform for issuing and managing such certificates and is expanding it with a web-based customisation tool and more user-friendliness given the requirements of the users. The main users are universities and other educational institutions around the world, but also corporate training centres that need a top-notch platform to handle all administrative processes.
