Work description
Mechatronics Engineering intern:Project Title: Sensor fabrication and its self power IOT application Work Description:1) Project Aim: Develop an innovative, flexible, self-powered vibration sensor node using a novel piezoelectric nanocomposite of polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) and piezoelectric materials.2) IoT Demand: The expansion of the Internet of Things (IoT) increases the need for energy-efficient, autonomous sensor nodes that operate reliably in remote environments.3) Challenge of Traditional Power Sources: Conventional batteries are impractical due to limited lifespan and frequent maintenance or replacement needs.4) Self-Powered Solution: This project addresses these challenges by creating a sensor node that harvests ambient mechanical energy, converting vibrations into electrical energy for self-powering.5) Industry Applications: The sensor node enhances applicability in structural health monitoring, industrial machinery, and environmental sensing, ensuring reliable performance in harsh conditions.Expected Outcome:1) Output: A flexible, self-powered vibration sensor node that harvests ambient mechanical energy.2) Wireless Capability: Enables real-time data transmission for continuous monitoring in remote environments.3) Design: Scalable and adaptable for various IoT applications. If the intern wishes to work from home: 1. We need you to be able to devote at least 5 hours per day to develop tasks. 2. We will set up weekly meetings to follow up on the progress work using Skype. 3. You shall be provided with the existing resources for your aid. 4. Due to the time zone difference, we expect you to be flexible with meeting timings.
