Work description

The Foreign Language Coordination of Instituto Tecnológico de Durango is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Japanese language instructor to teach students at beginner, intermediate, and/or advanced levels. The primary objective is to help students develop strong communicative skills in Japanese while fostering an appreciation for Japanese culture.Key Responsibilities:-Plan and deliver Japanese language lessons aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) or equivalent standards.-Create engaging and communicative activities to encourage active student participation.-Assess student progress through assignments, exams, and class participation.-Provide ongoing feedback to support students’ language development.-Integrate cultural elements to enhance students’ understanding of Japan and its traditions.-Participate in staff meetings and professional development sessions as required.Qualifications:-Minimum language proficiency level of B2 or higher in Japanese.-Experience teaching Japanese as a foreign language is preferred.-Familiarity with CEFR or similar language proficiency frameworks.-Strong communication skills and ability to motivate learners.-Bachelor’s degree in Education, Japanese Language, Linguistics, or related fields (preferred).-Certification in teaching Japanese as a foreign language (such as the Japanese Language Teaching Competency Test) is a plus.We Offer:-A supportive and collaborative teaching environment.-Opportunities for ongoing professional development.-Flexible working hours based on course scheduling.
