Work description

The ideal candidate should have intermediate knowledge of JavaScript and Python, with experience in Vue.js for front-end development and Flask for backend web development. Proficiency in both relational databases (like MySQL/MariaDB) and non-relational databases (like MongoDB) is essential, along with familiarity using tools like HeidiSQL or DBeaver for database management. The intern will join the General Directorate of Information and Communication Technologies (DITIC) at the Technological University of Panama (UTP), working alongside the internal development team.Key Responsibilities:- Develop a software system to facilitate the donation and exchange of assets among UTP units.- Write clean and functional code based on specifications from the Software Engineering team.- Manage source code versioning using Git, following best practices.- Design and execute test scenarios to ensure system reliability.- Collaborate with the QA team to validate and certify system functionality.- Support the deployment and implementation of the system in a production environment.- Document the project by writing a comprehensive Software Project Report.This internship offers practical experience in full-stack web development, collaboration with software engineering and QA teams, and participation in the complete software lifecycle within a university IT unit.
