Work description
Internship: Implementing Level 3 Software-in-the-Loop (SIL3) Testing with vVIRTUALtargetIn modern automotive software development, Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) testing is a key step to validate ECU functionality before hardware is available. It allows running software components in a simulated environment to ensure correctness and integration. Within our team, we are evaluating to use Vector’s vVIRTUALtarget to build and execute virtual ECUs, enabling early and efficient validation of AUTOSAR-based systems. We are looking for a motivated student to join our team and support the implementation of SIL Level 3 Virtual ECU testing using vVIRTUALtarget. This project will extend our existing SIL Level 1 setup toward a full virtual ECU environment (SWCs + RTE + BSW), enabling advanced testing and validation of AUTOSAR-based software without target hardware.Your tasks• Configure and build a virtual ECU from existing software components (SWCs) including AUTOSAR RTE and selected BSW modules.• Integrate the virtual ECU with Vector vVIRTUALtarget and CANoe.• Design and execute test scenarios (e.g., communication, scheduling, diagnostics).• Document the process and prepare a demonstration setup for future use.Who are you? We believe you are an individual who is motivated by challenging tasks in a complex and innovative environment. Execution of challenging technological development and teamwork is your real passion. You enjoy learning from others, as well as sharing your knowledge with your colleagues and are social, structured, analytical, and a problem solver.
