The "Alhaceeb City" project presents a highly commendable and contextually sensitive urban vision that thoughtfully addresses the challenges of heritage preservation, social equity, and sustainable growth in Zabid. By relocating low-income populations into a new city that echoes the spirit, materiality, and scale of the historic core, the proposal strikes a delicate balance between cultural continuity and necessary urban expansion. The division into three zones following conservation guidelines demonstrates strategic urban planning and ensures long-term protection of the old city. The project's integration of environmental, economic, and social sustainability pillars reflects a comprehensive approach to resilient urbanism. To further enrich the design, more detailed articulation of mobility strategies and public realm activation could enhance everyday livability. Overall, this project offers an inspiring model for heritage-sensitive, community-centered development.
