The project „the great wave” alludes to the famous painting of Hokusai Katsushika.
The waves inspire the shape as well as the chosen materials. As the mentioned woodblock print the project is comprised of many layers [aspects]. The idea behind the project was to underscore the unique characteristics of the objects as well as its function, localisation, and the pro-ecological aspect of these structures.
Urban layout
The basis for the design was a simple circle. An important consideration for the form was the transparency and clarity of the masterplan. The user should at any point know where he is on the premises. Clarity allows for an intuitive usage of the object.

The first sector fulfils the technical aspects of the object. A slip facility for yachts and the landing stage of the marina are located at the lowest point of the path leading up to the designed area. The building of the technical station contains the harbour master's office, the reception, an area for recreation and integration as well as multi-functional rooms for satisfying physiological needs, e.g. a kitchen, toilets and a shower room.
The main element of the designed urban layout is the central object and the immediate surroundings. To highlight the scenic landscape of Croatia, its shores and waterways, the main object was divided in a way, so to give users, who are climbing up-hills stunning viewing axis.
