This project, Marine and Coastal Walkway Design Zone 6 and 7, demonstrates a commendable balance between thoughtful architectural form and sensitive integration with the natural coastal terrain. The use of a curved massing strategy that blends gently into the landscape is a particularly strong aspect of the design, helping to minimize visual intrusion and maximize harmony with the site. The inclusion of green roofs and sloping gradients to echo the topography further enhances this ecological sensitivity.
The programming is well considered, offering a range of public amenities from restaurants and cafes to mooring docks and leisure spaces that enrich the tourist experience while also serving community needs. The clear zoning and functional legibility of spaces encourage intuitive navigation through the site, which is a vital consideration in public waterfront designs.
Constructively, further refinement could be given to the human scale experience along the promenade especially in terms of shaded gathering areas and material articulation that reflects the coastal context. Additional focus on tactile, sensory or cultural storytelling elements could elevate the project’s narrative connection to place.
Overall, this is a highly resolved and contextually intelligent proposal that demonstrates both technical skill and a strong environmental ethos. Keep pushing toward deeper experiential layers and more refined material expression.
