This proposal presents a thoughtful integration of architecture with the natural landscape of Starigrad, Croatia. Inspired by the form of a wave, the design aims to harmonize with the terrain, offering unobstructed sea views and incorporating green public spaces throughout the site. The project's commitment to sustainability is evident in its use of nature-friendly materials and a structural glass façade that maximizes natural light while minimizing heat gain.
The building's two-level design, with entrances on both levels, facilitates accessibility and blends seamlessly with the surrounding environment. The inclusion of commercial areas, restaurants, administrative offices, and booking facilities demonstrates a comprehensive approach to creating a multifunctional center that caters to both locals and tourists.
However, while the conceptual framework is strong, the architectural detailing and material articulation could benefit from further development. Enhancing the clarity of spatial organization and refining the integration of sustainable technologies would strengthen the project's overall impact.
Overall, "The Wave Center" offers a promising vision for a coastal development that respects and enhances its natural context. With additional refinement in design execution and technical detailing, it has the potential to serve as a model for sustainable and context-sensitive architecture.
