The idea of the project is innovative in terms of form and construction method (Modular off-site construction). It introduces a solution to high demand on small to mid-size residential units in a growing urban environment.
Following are my observations:
1- Expansion of the modular units is not clear. Where and how the users can add another room or office?
2- End units have terraces/outdoor access. What about the middle units?
3- The arrangement of the units along linear long corridors is monotonous and boring.
4- In the middle units, some spaces at the internal part of the module will not have natural light and ventilation.
The following suggestions may help improving the design:
1- Arrange the modules in clusters around communal spaces that give a sense of individuality and provides exposure of the interior spaces to the outside. Additionally, it reduces the effect of the long corridors.
2- Give more details to how would modules expand.
3- Create more green terraces on the edges and in between the modules.
