This oceanarium proposal is commendable in its environmental mission and the extensive research it demonstrates on marine ecosystems, site forces, and aquarium technology. The functional program is comprehensive—integrating exhibition tanks, a dolphinarium, herpetarium, research labs, and a marine biology dormitory. The project's ambition to balance eco-tourism with marine conservation is clearly articulated. However, the architectural design lacks spatial clarity and coherence. The volumetric articulation, facade language, and visitor navigation are described at length but are not sufficiently resolved in terms of spatial hierarchy or experiential sequencing. The technical systems are addressed, yet their integration into architectural form and spatial quality is weak. Overall, while the concept is valuable and well-researched, the architectural resolution remains underdeveloped and would benefit from stronger formal organization, environmental strategy articulation, and design refinement.
Dear Tamer ElSerafi,
Thank you very much for taking the time to review my competition project and for your valuable feedback. I truly appreciate the effort and thoughtfulness you put into your comments; it means a great deal coming from someone with your experience and insight.
Your encouraging words have inspired me to continue refining my architectural journey. I am genuinely grateful for your generosity in supporting young designers like me through Inspireli.
Warmest regards,
