The Archive Project presents a bold and eye-catching design, with a strong and thoughtful color palette that adds depth and identity to the architecture. The color combination makes a powerful statement and skillfully reflects the historical character of the neighborhood. The perspectives are also visually striking and well-composed, allowing viewers to imagine the building as a vibrant, lived-in space within Shahr-Ray.
However, in the context of a competition, your presentation would benefit from showing more of the design development process. Diagrams, concept evolution, and especially floor plans are essential tools to help the audience and jurors fully understand your intentions. These elements explain how your initial ideas translated into architectural form and function, and give clarity to how the project operates spatially.
It would also strengthen your board if the concept—criticizing rigid forms and responding to high density—was integrated more clearly into the visual presentation. Supporting this with schematic diagrams or sectional studies would add depth to your proposal. Showing how people interact with the space, especially the café and preserved remains, could further highlight the project’s social and cultural goals.
This is a promising and visually compelling project. With additional clarity in presentation—through diagrams, plans, and design rationale—it could communicate its message even more powerfully.
Great effort, Amirmasoud Aghajanizadeh, Mina Gandomi, Shaghik Melikian, and a strong design direction; well done!
