The design's foundation in the Voronoi pattern brings a unique visual identity, and the idea of reducing the building footprint by going underground is both sustainable and contextually intelligent. It’s a compelling solution that not only preserves green space but also encourages a layered experience between the natural and built environment.
That said, for competition-level presentation, I would have loved to see the floor plan and how the spatial zoning and circulation were resolved underground. It would also be helpful to show how the concept evolved—including the design process, massing development, and more in-depth research that supports your architectural decisions. These elements would bring clarity and strengthen the narrative.
Your perspectives are well-executed, but to make them more dynamic and engaging, consider adding playful colors, human scale elements, and vegetation, especially in the masterplan and surrounding context. This would enhance the emotional connection and give the space more life and realism.
Subterranean Mall is a thoughtful and future-forward project. With a bit more development in communicating the design process and activating the visuals, it has strong potential to stand out. Well done!
Thank you, Yousuf Khalid, for sharing your project, Subterranean Mall—it’s an innovative take on commercial architecture that challenges conventional spatial norms through a modern and concept-driven approach.
