This project presents a profound and ethically grounded alternative to conventional tourism-driven development, offering a sensitive and community-centered model that respects the cultural and ecological fabric of the Mru settlement. Rooted in Mohammed Habib Reza’s New Contextualism, the design strategy thoughtfully balances indigenous needs with sustainable tourism through innovative solutions such as agroforestry practices, hydram water systems, and localized, culturally integrated facilities. The introduction of the Para Kendro and decentralized homestay models strengthens community resilience and empowerment. The layered approach to environmental stewardship and socio-economic development is particularly commendable. While the conceptual depth is strong, further exploration of construction phasing and long-term maintenance strategies could enhance implementation feasibility. Overall, this project stands as an exemplary model for culturally sensitive and sustainable architectural intervention.
