Concept: Strong symbolic narrative using the "path" as a journey from the tragedy (silos) to the future. It successfully balances a working industrial port with a public memorial space.
Urban Integration: The project excels in "re-stitching" the city to the sea, breaking the barrier of the highway that currently isolates the port area.
Logistics: Good use of automated systems (like high-bay storage) to keep the port compact and efficient, freeing up land for public use.
Climate Comfort: Add more shading or "green buffers" along the long pedestrian paths. Beirut’s heat can make exposed walkways unusable during the day.
Technical Detail: For the Archicad/Chaos prizes, provide a 1:20 detail of the "Touch"—how the new glass/steel structures physically connect to the fragile, historic silo ruins without damaging them.
Sustainability: Clarify the "Off-grid" strategy. Show specifically where solar panels or water harvesting systems are integrated into the large roof surfaces of the warehouses.
Phasing: Briefly outline how the port stays operational during construction. Jurors value "economic realism"—the ability for the port to generate revenue while the memorial is being built.
