Project Idea: “Restoring Spatial Harmony Through Landscape Design”
Problem (Introduction):
Modern private plots often suffer from chaotic planning, poorly organized recreational zones, insufficient greenery, and a lack of clear functional division.
Additionally, there is a lack of shaded areas, insufficient privacy, and an overuse of non-recreational surfaces such as old asphalt or concrete. All of this reduces comfort and prevents full use of the site’s potential.

Project Goal:
To create a multifunctional, visually appealing, and environmentally balanced landscape that combines recreation, utility, and a modern planting system.

Design Concept:
Functional Zoning of the territory:
- a relaxation zone with a pergola or canopy,
- a parking area (with a carport and upward-opening gate),
- a children's play area,
- a utility zone (compost, service area),
- a quiet shady corner with a bench.

Greening strategy:
- use of various coniferous and deciduous plants,
- decorative grasses and perennials,
- accent trees with lighting,
- seasonal dynamics: spring/fall color, blooming cycles, varied forms.

Drainage system — to regulate moisture and prevent waterlogging.

Automatic irrigation system — tailored to plant groups and optimized for water efficiency.

Outdoor lighting:
path lights, tree uplighting, architectural accent lighting near the entrance.

Paving materials:
eco-friendly solutions such as natural stone, wood, and permeable surfaces.

Expected Outcome:
Enhanced living comfort for residents,

Efficient use of the 800+ m² plot,

Comfortable outdoor environment for all seasons,

A private, personalized landscape with unique character.

The site should include:

A barbecue area with terrace decking for family leisure

A quiet relaxation zone surrounded by ornamental plants

A children’s playground with shock-absorbing safety tiles

Lawn and landscaped areas with decorative vegetation

A strip of thuja/conifers serving as a visual screen or green fence

Garden paths made of permeable porcelain stoneware

A parking area with poured flooring

A house-adjacent zone finished with terrace decking

1. Stylistic Preferences:

Modern minimalism

Use of natural materials and organic forms

A balance between well-maintained design and natural surroundings

2. Plant Selection:
Priority is given to:

Thuja and coniferous plants (to form structure and volume)

Hydrangeas, lavender, pampas grass (Cortaderia), and blue fescue — as decorative and seasonal highlights

All plants are selected for frost resistance and low maintenance requirements

3. Engineering Systems:
The project should include:

An automatic drip and zonal irrigation system (tailored to the needs of plant groups)

A drainage system to remove excess moisture

A landscape lighting system (functional and decorative)

Misting cooling system in the relaxation area (to improve microclimate in summer)

4. Materials and Surfaces:

Pathways: permeable porcelain stoneware

Barbecue area and areas around the house: terrace decking

Children’s playground: shock-absorbing safety tiles

Parking zone: poured floor (concrete with finishing or polymer coating)

5. Maintenance and Operation Considerations:

The design must be easy to maintain, with no need for daily care

Plants must be drought- and disease-resistant

Surfaces and structures should be durable, non-slip, and weather-resistant

All systems should be automated or require minimal manual intervention
