Work description

We are seeking a motivated and experienced trainee to join our team working on the project “Induced Cellular Senescence in Cancer Cells for Cancer Therapy”. The trainee will play a pivotal role in our research efforts, focusing on cell culture and preparation, electrophysiological investigations, patch clamp experiments, laser scanning microscopy and live cell imaging. The trainee position offers an exciting opportunity to gain experience in a cell laboratory and experimental techniques, and contribute to cutting-edge cancer researchby exploring the induction of senescence in cancer cells.Cell Culture and Preparation:- Cultivate and maintain cancer cell lines for experimental purposes.- Treatment of cells with CDK inhibitors to induce cell cycle exit.Electrophysiological Investigation/Patch Clamp Experiments:- Perform patch clamp experiments to assess the electrophysiological properties ofcancer cells.- Record and analyze ion channel activity and membrane potential changes in senes-cent cancer cells.- Contribute to the development of novel electrophysiological techniques.Laser Scanning Microscopy:- Operate and maintain laser scanning microscopes for live cell imaging.- Visualize and track changes in cell morphology, organelle dynamics, and senescence markers.- Collaborate with imaging specialists to optimize imaging protocols.Data Analysis and Reporting:- Analyze experimental data using appropriate software and statistical methods.- Prepare detailed reports and presentations summarizing experimental findings.- Collaborate with the research team to interpret results and contribute to publications.Laboratory Safety and Compliance:- Adhere to laboratory safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment.- Maintain accurate and organized laboratory records, including experimental procedures and results.§ Assist in the procurement and maintenance of laboratory equipment and supplies.
